West Street Water Main Update

West Street Water Main Update

The water should be restored to the first 5 houses on Regulators St and those residents are under a Boil Order until further notice.  The Village must take 2 water samples 24 hours apart and both must come back "clean".  The Boil Order will most likely remain in effect until Friday.  We will notify you when the Boil Order ends.

The water to the 2 homes on West St, the home on Beck Rd and the apartment complex at the end of the gravel street north of the Beck RD home but south of the tracks will have water shut off tomorrow, 6/24/26.  Once water is restored to those residences, a Boil Order will be in effect for those residences as well.

Any water you use for drinking or cooking should be brought to a rolling boil for 5 minutes (or more if you feel that's better) and allowed to cool completely before using.  You can also use bottled water instead.  Use boiled or bottled water for drinking and making ice cubes, washing fruits and vegetables, brushing your teeth, mixing baby formula or cooking or washing dishes. You can sanitize dishwater by soaking in 1 teaspoon of unscented liquid bleach per gallon of water for 1 minute.  You can safely use tap water for showering and bathing, washing hands but follow up with hand sanitizer, and for flushing toilets and doing laundry.  Once the Boil Order is lifted, flush your household pipes by running all cold water faucets for 3-5 minutes.  If you have an ice maker, you should drain and refill that as well, and you should also replace any faucet aerators or screens.

We will keep you updated if anything changes between now and tomorrow.

Thank you for your patience. We truly appreciate it.
