Grant money will help

signweb

The Village of Creston has been awarded a $100,000 grant to help pay for the painting of the water tower, but THAT'S NOT ALL! Creston has also been awarded $140,000 with the Safe Routes To Schools grant. This grant will allow our K-8 students a safer walk to school from various points in town. These are great savings for the community and the board trustees would like to give thanks to all who have been involved in obtaining the grants, namely Trustee Curt Ward for the Safe Route To Schools grant and our village engineer Kevin Bunge for the grant for the water tower. We are also pursuing a water grant for installation of water meters and a grant for rebuilding Main Street. Let's keep this going, we are on a roll!

How much does the Village get in taxes

This past year the Village of Creston has collected $18,000 total for the entire year in property taxes.

We operate on a very small budget and must be very careful on how we spend your tax dollars in order to maximize the value.
