CHANGES WITH YOUR GARBAGE PICKUP
Starting in July 2019, Northern Illinois Disposal will be delivering garbage and recycling carts to each residence. These carts will be taking place of your personal garbage cans. This change is part of NI Disposal's plan to integrate automated trash pickup in the next couple of years.
What are you going to do with the cans you already have? You may start using those cans for yard waste. Place grass clippings, branches, and leaves in your 32 gallon (or smaller) cans. Yard waste collection will be picked up on recycling days from April to November. You will need to mark the side of the cans with a large X. You may also choose to use the specialized paper yard bags for pickup.
Northern Illinois Disposal's flyer announcing the changes can be found HERE.
