Grant Funds Awarded To Village
The Village of Creston has been awarded a $100,000 grant to help pay for the painting of the water tower. The Village has also been awarded $140,000 with the Safe Routes To Schools grant. This grant will allow K-8 students a safer walk to school from various points in town. The board trustees would like to give thanks to all who have been involved in obtaining the grants including, Trustee, Curt Ward for the Safe Route To Schools grant and Village Engineer, Kevin Bunge for the grant for the water tower. The Village is currently pursuing a water grant for installation of water meters as well as a grant for rebuilding Main Street.
